Kohlswat Poster Serie, 2023/2024
with Cédric Weber
HfG Karlsruhe

Together we designed five A1 posters and accompanying Instagram posts for a lecture series featuring various designers at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in Summer 2024. Each design was based on an image provided by the invited speakers, referencing an existing or upcoming project. Using these images as a starting point, we developed independent visual interpretations. Prior to this project, we also designed Kohlswat in the Winter before. The concept was based on asking the invited designers about a mistake they had made earlier in their graphic design careers, reflecting the idea that progress is often driven by failure. The poster was printed in black using the risograph.

Several Outcomes
In this project, I contrast the classic angel-and-devil dynamic, using the symbolic of smoking. The focus lies on the inner voices that influence, tempt, and negotiate desire and restraint.

The Gameboard Corridor, 2023
Booklet

During the summer school at Ravisius Textor, a week was spent working with Richard Niessen’s Palace of Typographic Masonry. The project focused on the so-called Game Corridor, resulting in the design of a game board inspired by the classic game Parchesi. The outcome was a fold-out, playable board, risograph-printed in A4 format, featuring a newly developed version of the game. All works were required to incorporate one letter from Summer Palace; this project centered on the letter R.
